Come Feb. 27, Nintendo will release a Pokemon-themed New Nintendo 3DS bundle in honor of the franchise’s 20th anniversary, The Pokemon Company announced today.

The New Nintendo 3DS bundle will include both digital versions of Pokemon Red and Blue, which were announced for re-release during last year’s Nintendo Direct, a pair of Pokemon Red and Blue-themed faceplates, and one Pokemon-themed home menu. At this time a price has yet to be set for this bundle.

 

The Pokemon Company also revealed that several animated films are to be digitally remastered and released on Feb. 27 which include: Pokemon: The First Movie, Pokemon: The Movie 2000, and Pokemon 3: The Movie. These digitally remastered animated films will be found via iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon.

Individuals who possess a copy of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Omega Ruby, X or Y will have the opportunity to download several mythical Pokemon via GameStop digital distribution which is said to begin in February.

Last month, Pokemon-themed Nintendo 2DS bundles were spotted in Japan which too include digital copies of the original Pokemon titles.
