Bayonetta 2 originally released in 2014, and along with it came the original Bayonetta which initially released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, in anticipation of her arrival in Super Smash Bros., Nintendo is planning a standalone release of Bayonetta 2 at a discounted price.

Taking to Twitter, Nintendo made the announcement and means to price the standalone version of Bayonetta 2 $29.99, roughly $30 cheaper when compared to the titles initial launch price at $59.99. The re-release of Bayonetta 2 is scheduled to launch via retail on February 19.

Bayonetta was recently revealed as a playable character for Super Smash Bros. during the final Smash Nintendo Direct, which can be found here.
