Video game legend, Hideo Kojima has officially left Konami and is currently establishing a new studio, according to a report by Nikkei (via Polygon).

It is said that Hideo Kojima is currently chatting with long-time collaborator, Sony Computer Entertainment, regarding the debut of his first official title on PlayStation. 

Hideo Kojima was not allowed to attend the Video Game Awards 2015 due to “employment contracts” which were in-affect at the time.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was Kojima’s last project with Konami which launched on Sept. 1, and has shipped more than 5 million units since its September release.
