As always, the ranks earned in Season 6 will reset and players will have to play 10 placement matches to earn a new rank. Psyonix also stated that they will adjust the rank distribution so that more players can gain entry into the Champion and Grand Champion Ranks.
In addition, the rewards for Season 6 will be custom wheels which will be given out once Season 7 starts. The wheels are representative of the rank a player has earned in the previous season and players will also receive the wheels that are below their previous rank.
