Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege is now in it’s third year and Ubisoft has revealed substantial details on the first DLC of the new year.
We’ve had small in-universe teases of the new operation but now players can now know what will change in Siege in regards to its retail version and Outbreak Packs.
Outbreak is an event that will last for four weeks, where players can team up with two of their friends in a PvE mode. During the event, players can earn Outbreak Packs which will contain HazMat cosmetics. These cosmetics will include universal weapon skins, unique weapon skins, headgear, uniforms, charms, and an Outbreak Collection exclusive of this season’s Elite Uniform. The Outbreak cosmetics will be available for: Two Chimera Operators, Smoke, Ying, Buck, Kapkan, Hibana, Zofia, Fuze, Ash, Doc, Thermite, Tachanka, and Glaz. Like the Alpha Packs, Outbreak Packs, can be bought with real money through R6 Credits and can be earned by logging in or by buying a new retail version.
The retail versions will get a slight price increase but the time to unlock operators will reamain thr same. All editions, except Starter, will come with 10 Outbreak Collection Packs when purchased newly. The Standard Edition is also getting a name change to Advanced Edition, yet everything else will remain the same, except its price. These Editions and their Outbreak Collection Pack bonuses will apply to purchases after February 13, 2018.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege Outbreak has no official operation name and release date, but it is expected to be available early this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
