Servers for Microsoft’s game creation game will be shut down on August 12, according to a post by Project Spark community manager Thomas Gratz. The title is now longer available for download as of now. After August 12, players will no longer be able to download user-generated content or upload their creations.

Many of the the Project Spark team members found themselves moved to other developments after transitioning from free-to-play to a free creation platform last fall. Ultimately this has led to the situation today, in which it is no longer viable to continue support for the project.

Players who purchased the starter kit after October 15, 2015 will receive a credit that can be used in the Xbox or Windows stores.
