According to a report by Eurogamer, a new version of Pokemon Sun and Moon is currently in the works for Nintendo’s latest home console, Switch.

Sources tell Eurogamer that the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Sun and Moon, which is codenamed Pokemon Stars, will likely be the third title in the series (we’ve seen this done several times in the past, with Pokemon Yellow, Emerald, and Platinum).

Should Pokemon Stars come to fruition, it would be the first time, ever, that a traditional Pokemon title would hit a Nintendo home console.

Eurogamer’s report further mentions that Pokemon Stars will be compatible with the Nintendo 3DS version of Pokemon Sun and Moon, as trainers would be able to transfer Pokemon through the Pokemon Bank app on Nintendo 3DS.

Lastly, Pokemon Stars has been said to be the same game as its Nintendo 3DS counterparts, just with nicer visuals. You can expect to play this video game in Summer 2017.
