If you want to grab another year (or more) at the current subscription rate of $49.99, you have a little under two days to do so. On September 22, the yearly price will increase by $10 to $59.99, bringing it in line with the cost of Xbox Live Gold. It’s not clear if this price increase is intended to assist with better network performance, new features, securing bigger games for PS+, or simply because they can.

PlayStation Plus is required to play most online multiplayer games on the PlayStation 4, provides additional cloud storage space, and offers a selection of games every month to download at no additional charge.
