According to a recent blog post via Final Fantasy VIX’s official website, new information regarding the latest patch for the title, patch 3.35, has surfaced and means to give players a taste of new gameplay.
Within patch 3.35, players can partake in an all new quest that is found in South Shroud, which happens to be part of the Deep Dungeon content, and is called The Palace of the Dead. Here, players must be at least level 17.
The Palace of the Dead will possess its own leveling system, which launching this quest will set users back to level 1 as they will have to work their way up. It has been said that adventurers will have to kill monsters, open treasure chests, and equip new items in order to achieve level progression.
As most Final Fantasy XIV players know, it’s usually an arms-race to the first treasure chest in sight, but in The Palace of the Deep content, players might not want to be first after all as some treasure chests will explode if opened. Should a teammate fall, someone on the team will have to find a special stone tower which is said to bring a fallen comrade back to life. Save states will also be implemented into this dungeon as well, and individuals can pick whichever class they would like. This content can also be played solo or up to four players.
At this time it is currently unknown as to how long this dungeon will take to complete, as well as how many floors it possesses. In search of this information, VG Newswire has reached out to Square Enix and will update this post should we hear back.
