The official Battlefield 1 reveal has come and gone. Here’s everything we’ve learned.

Battlefield 1 takes place during World War I. Early buzz about an alternate history WWI was not addressed, and appears to have been nothing more than rumor at this point.

A beta will take place before release, and is being offered to those signing up for the Battlefield newsletters.

Battlefield 1 comes with an unusual release strategy. The standard edition of the game, the traditional $59.99 copy, releases on October 21, 2016. Players purchasing the “Early Enlister Deluxe Edition,” or bundles like the Collector’s Edition that include that version, will be able to play starting on October 18. EA Access and Origin Access members will have an early window to play as well, though it is not said if that time frame takes place before October 18, or simply grants access to those members on the 18th.

Battlefield 1 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin. It is being developed by DICE, using the Frostbite engine that is responsible for the visuals behind Star Wars Battlefront.
