Professional Skier, Matilda Rapaport, has unfortunately passed away due to injuries caused by an accident in Chile.
On July 14, Rapaport was recording promotional video for Ubisoft’s latest extreme sports title, Steep, and was sadly taken by an avalanche and had suffered injuries. Despite receiving medical attention, the 30 year-old did not survive.
Matilda Rapaport was sponsored by Red Bull, which the company has expressed its condolences within a blog post:
According to the blog post, the professional Skier had been in an avalanche accident in Alaska in 2014, and had openly talked about how she “faced and overcame her fears”
Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers also go out to Rapaport’s family, friends, and loved ones.
